Abstract |
In order to evaluate genetic diversity and relationship of 45 rice plants including natives, red rices, and cultivars AFLP (Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism) analysis was employed. A total of selected five primer pairs was used, resulting in 257 (56%) polymorphic loci among 45 plants. A phylogenic tree evidenced high degree of genetic relationship among respectively group of red rices and natives . The AFLP analysis might provide crucial roles for evaluation and development of the rice varieties using the diverse sources such as natives and red rices.
