Abstract In general, the local governments had effort in a host of activities in order to promote the local economy and enhance the
local image. The factor analysis was conducted to find out the motivation of visitors when these visitors participated in the
Danjong Cultural Festival. The results showed that the purpose of visitors with Danjong Cultural Festival included
“Regional characteristics”, “Festival appeal” and “Contingency.” The binary logistic regression analysis was carried out to
find out the satisfaction level of visitors participating in the Danjong Cultural Festival. The results showed that in three
above factors, “regional characteristics” and “festival appeal” had a statistically significant effect with effect level of
P<0.05. By the same token, the binary logistic regression analysis was conducted to give the effects of visiting purpose on
re-visits among these visitors. The results of the analysis was determined as follows: all 3 factors as “regional
characteristics”, “festival appeal,” and “contingency” had statistically significant effects with effect level of P<0.05. It is
significant that “regional characteristics” and “festival appeal” had positive effects, while “contingency” had a negative
effect.
