policy in Korea, and also to provide future tasks in the aspects of the policy’s basic thoughts, promotion system, and
direction of development. Korea’s 6th industrialization policy is seemed to be well promoting with firm basic tools,
during a relatively short period of a little more than 2 years. During the promotion process of the policy in the
future, it is considered important to focus capability in core categories through means such as inducing local
resources are well utilized and increasing efficiency by tying up with farms, corporations, and locals. Most of all
farmers should be self-effort by coming up with original innovative ideas to develop differentiated new products even
if they are small. The central government should integrate high technology such as ICT in agriculture and rural
sectors to draw value innovation from farms or locals and induce occurrence of externality. If the central government
develops and supplies various technologies related to the 6th industrialization, the efficiency of farms will be
increased and also many new business items will be created to contribute to increase farmers’ profit. Local
governments need to seize consumer responses as well as advertise 6th industrialization products produced in their
own regions, while running new product antenna shops in large cities such as Seoul. Additionally, if they install
‘Food Development and Technical Support Center’, an affiliated organization under the provincial ‘Agriculture
Research & Extension Services’, and provide technical support and food safety control management, this will
definitely help farms to develop new products.
