Abstract Retailing state of the standard agricultural products was investigated at consumer purchasing stage. First, products ranges of standard system was determined based on related acts or clauses, and several representative hypermarkets were selected which thought to distribute agriculture products intensively. Total of 27 items were identified as standard products among 94 statutory committed products (7.8% ratio). In case of fruit, ratio of standardized products was 10.3%, culinary vegetables 14.4%, root and tuber crop 20.2%, special crop 12.9%, mushroom 29.4% and rice 0%. Meanwhile, 52.8% of standardized agricultural products showed inappropriate quality labeling which must be regulated by related laws. Furthermore, diverse inappropriate quality labeling management was investigated in consumer-purchasing stages. In this study, Inappropriate compulsory labeling information related with products quality was identified as major factors which constraining the standard products retailing at the consumer purchasing stage.
